 Jennifer Loudermilk is a North Carolina native and began studying voice over 30 years ago. She has several years of experience teaching voice privately as well as music directing at various theatres in the metro Atlanta area. She studied Education at East Carolina University and is currently Music and Spanish teacher.  She was also a member of the KSU Women's Chorus.  Her teachers and coaches have included Marshall E. Butler Jr. Dr. Janna K. Brendell, Elaine Diab-Baker, Dr. Kevin R. Hibbard and Dr. Alison Mann.  Jennifer currently studies voice with long time Atlanta teacher and Julliard graduate Erin Coleman.  

Jennifer is a member of Collegium Vocale Choir at Emory University as well as a member of the Epsilon Alpha chapter of Sigma Beta Sorority. She was nominated for 2 Metropolitan Atlanta Theatre (MAT) awards in their 2011 season one for Best Music Direction for Into the Woods with CCT and one for Best Supporting Actress as "Asaka" in Once On This Island at Act 3 Productions.  Jennifer was also nominated in the 2013 MAT Award season for Best Supporting Actress as "Paulette Bonafonté" in Legally Blonde.  She was also nominated in the 2014 MAT Award season for Best Music Direction for The Great American Trailer Park Musical as well as winning Best Major Supporting Actress as "Bad Ass Betty" in the same musical.  She was nominated in the 2017 MAT Award season for Best Musical Direction of Urinetown: the Musical with Elm Street Cultural Arts Center.  

Her students have received several accolades and scholarships through the years as well with two students being nominated for the Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards with one winning Best Supporting Actor for the 2016-2017 year.  


She has overseen summer drama camps for ages 5-12 and has worked with Cobb Children's Theatre, Act 3 Productions, Young Actors Playhouse, Marietta Players, Pope High School Drama, CYT of Atlanta and Elm Street Cultural Arts Center to name a few.  She currently serves as Artistic Director and Resident Music Director of From the Top Theatrics.  As her area of expertise is in education, she uses her experiences in theatre to help young performers grow and gain confidence with their performance and singing.  Her focus and goal as a vocal instructor is to help student achieve their greatest potential by focusing on tonal placement, breath control and support, diction, song interpretation, musicianship and range extension.  Being trained classically as a lyric soprano, Jennifer is constantly learning and increasing her knowledge and abilities to establish techniques suitable for opera, art songs, musical theatre, gospel and pop style music.
